AU Backstory Planning Post

Every month, we'll have a post where new characters and old characters can plan out backstories with one another. This should hopefully get characters something to work with when coming up with their alternate universes and get some prebuilt CR for those who are looking for it! This is NOT a requirement, you could be an unattached person if you'd like! However, for those who do want it, this is the place for you!

Before you start with making an AU, I would recommend getting familiar with some of the information to get an idea of how the setting works here.

Thank you for having interest in joining! When you post your comment looking to plot, please toplevel the post with NEW CHARACTER | CHARACTER CANON NAME (CANON) and then fill out the following:

Please don't take anything listed here as "official". Players are allowed to refuse whatever they're not interested in and they can change their minds if they haven't played it out yet!

Once you comment, please join the discord and LINK your post into the links subchannel. If you haven't received access to the discord, DM Celi! If you haven't gotten permission to join the game yet, you'll have to DM me anyway since this game is friends only!

✯Established Characters

For established characters, you can use this post as well! If you have an "open to all" type of CR where you're always needing a certain type of CR, you can do that here! This includes a restaurant needing regular patrons or a teacher needing students, guinea pigs for experiments, etc. Open to All is literally Open to All, it is never closed until the OP player adds a CLOSED comment so if you're a new player, don't feel like you're overwhelming them by commenting!!

Whenever you reach your CR limit, feel free to comment to your toplevel with the header CLOSED to let new players know that you're not taking any more CR for the time being (of course you can still tag new potential players!). It will also close automatically once the new monthly post goes up.

Flat | Top-Level Comments Only

I honestly didn't have his childhood set in stone because he's amnesia so I never needed to think about it LOL. but my loose intention was that he was Facility from a fairly young age, his parents died when he was pretty young, but he goes to public school and spends time in town still and stuff! So there's still plenty of space for him to have met and interacted with people.

if Jinshi was a fancy rich boy then he might've gone to private school, so maybe he like...met him around town somewhere or beat up some kids that were bullying him for his beautiful face. Lea does not care about his beautiful face but he also doesn't like seeing kids bullied for how they look. I am open to suggestions on this one

I did just realize that if they kept in regular contact growing up, Jinshi would have just like abruptly stopped getting communications from him when he got amnesia like 4ish months ago fkjhgldskjg sorry bro. sorry. maybe he does that when he's going undercover sometimes and it's not that weird

Yyyyy to helping with bullies!! If he did that baby Yue would have been like "ok you are now my bodyguard" and pestered him for hangouts and stuff ("you are invited to X or Y because bodyguard"). He was probably less annoying about this as they grew up (but still been like "heyyy heyyyy but you could be my bodyguard frfr, you'd get lots of money" half jokingly half seriously every now and then).

Also since Lea is Forge it would be normal for him to vanish into a project sometimes, that's okay.

THAT SOUNDS SOLID!!!! I'm sold. have fun with your old ~~friend~~ bodyguard not remembering you but having a strong desire to bully you all the same
