AU Backstory Planning Post

Every month, we'll have a post where new characters and old characters can plan out backstories with one another. This should hopefully get characters something to work with when coming up with their alternate universes and get some prebuilt CR for those who are looking for it! This is NOT a requirement, you could be an unattached person if you'd like! However, for those who do want it, this is the place for you!

Before you start with making an AU, I would recommend getting familiar with some of the information to get an idea of how the setting works here.

✯Established Characters

For established characters, you can use this post as well! If you have an "open to all" type of CR where you're always needing a certain type of CR, you can do that here! This includes a restaurant needing regular patrons or a teacher needing students, guinea pigs for experiments, etc. Open to All is literally Open to All, it is never closed until the OP player adds a CLOSED comment so if you're a new player, don't feel like you're overwhelming them by commenting!!

• was in an orphanage from a young age, but ran away
  
• lived on the streets for a time before being taken in by a gang (same one as cal, incidentally)
  
• did petty crimes with them for a while, was glad to have a home and food etc
  
• buuuut as she got older and grew more beautiful, she started being used as a honeypot and involved in more shady crimes on the side of murder and torture
  
• she began to want out
  
• but oops! she Owes Them and needs to pay them back. which means...more jobs!
  
• joins sun sign amidst this as a person with blessings, hoping for more resources to Get Out, or Something
  
• now she is On A Boat. PROBLEM....SOLVED???

Roles/CR you're interested in: SHE KEEPS A LOT OF THIS VERY ON THE DOWNLOW, presenting herself with a friendlier, more cheerful persona! maybe you're the sun sign(s) she met around the time of joining the family, or who got her interested in the idea. maybe you're her favorite barista. maybe you know someone she crimed. she'd be keeping surface level acquaintances at best for the most part, but let's talk!!

phoenix works at frost's cafe after school as a barista!!! so my suggestion is a simple maybe she's come in a few times and he remembers her order now. more or less in however way you want!! 😌

I can offer…… rescuing her from a bad situation, except she was with the perpetrators and he accidentally made some things worse—but he could maybe plant the idea of an out.

What kinda honeypot jobs does she do/like what is she murdering and torturing for? Like money or is the gang specific etc.

If you want some like not necessarily negative cr but like so kinda messy things cr, Sam usually goes after his targets black widow style and is heavily involved in dealing with human trafficking (like he's a crime lord, but his Family is against things like human trafficking so they often bust rings. However, to keep the peace in the underground syndicate he usually does it solo.)

You also got several people offering crime related cr but if you are game for something we can totally figure something out that's unique! The only thing would be is we would have to think of a reason as to why Sam wouldn't help her get out of her mess because that's usually what he does when he finds people trying to get out and he has the money to do it.

I'm just thinking it might be esp fun since Forte is one of his closest CR. (He doesn't know anything about Mizi either!)

Alternatively, Duran is also a crime lord (or was for the past five years, he was acting as one.) he doesn't get involved like Sam, but if you want connections with Duran instead of Sam or in addition to, I'd be game for either.

If not interested, though, that's cool too. We can just cr on boat.

HMMMM she wasn't rly involved in human trafficking tbf and and she'd be pretty low level in gang rankings regardless,,, i can definitely imagine how she's maybe heard of him peripherally but I'LL ADMIT I'M STRUGGLING ON WHERE THEY'D CROSS PATHS so maybe we can stick to boat!

Man, MAN lots of possibilities.

Easily enough a person who might have been the way INTO Sun Sign. Or just a favorite place to go get a good meal and drink. Or a safe place to keep low in the apartments above the cafe for a while from a guy who doesn't charge much and doesn't ask any questions.
