DEDUCTION GAME INFO + SIGN UPS

carveitoutHello, hello! I will be running the Deduction Game: [REDACTED] on January 18th from 5 to 8 PM PST with an assist from Nishi! The way the game works is fairly simple: a sacrifice from a family will be in your team room in a sealed cage, and you get 1 - 3 questions to deduce their identity within three hours. How many questions is dependent on the number of participants!
This is a potential trauma game. Your character could eat shit! Or they could be fine. No one is guaranteed to get super messed up in this game. Y'all could see the matrix and get through just fine. For those who played in the sheep version of this, there are a few different tweaks to it. That said, if you sign up for this game, your character will potentially get injured depending on their and/or their team's actions. If you sign up as a sacrifice, that goes double. The Dame is one of the gamerunners, so please keep this in mind.
Things to note:
1) Please note in your sign-up if you want to be a sacrifice. You must be available to play! Sacrifices will definitely have things to do during the game, you will not just be sitting and popcorning. If you're not able to do so during that time slot, please do not sign up for the sacrifice role.
2) There is a three hour time limit, but finishing last does not necessarily mean you lose. Win criteria is based on the Demiurge's whims; she values creativity and cleverness, but she hates cheating and people being boring in general.
3) If you played in the sheep version of this — something different will happen at the end if a team fails to guess the hostage's identity. :)
4) If you have two characters, you're allowed to sign up both! Keep in mind that if you sign both up, you'll have some OOC knowledge of both your teams that you'll need to tuck away, and this can hinder some people's enjoyment of it. However, Nishi and I are implementing a mechanic that we think will help immensely with this all around while making the game more fun. Still, if you think this would make playing difficult, maybe only sign up one character!
5) Because it was asked and we discussed it amongst ourselves -- while Nishi and I cannot stop any team from fixing RNG to force a specific hostage, we would vastly prefer that you do not do this. RNG is an aspect of the game that we're utilizing to make it the most fun for players and game runners alike.
