Character: Alciel/Shirou Ashiya from The Devil is a Part Timer!
Potential Team Option: Flexible! Sun Sign, Acidia, and Cirrus are particularly interesting

General AU idea: Doctoral student trapped in the endless purgatory of working on his thesis. Poor. Buried under student loans and the hopelessness of an uncertain employment future. Frequently takes short term/odd jobs to make ends meet.
Roles/CR you're interested in: Looking for friends (positive) and friends (negative). Coworkers, roommates, customers, fellow students, tutored students. Would also love a doctoral advisor and/or professors to TA for if anyone's in the academic side of things.

Wants and Dreams: Deeply looking forward to the confusion between his current assumed-to-be-human self, his memories of living a semi-ordinary househusband life in Japan, and the comparative unreality of his life as a demon in Ente Isla. Bonus points for any CR that gets more or less complicated on finding out he's a 1500 year old demon.

while i obviously can't guarantee backstory until after team sortings are done, i will say the current running one i've got involves miklos as a chemistry professor, if you'd be interested in academia cr! what sort of academic path is alciel going to be taking?

(also i loved this show back when it was airing... i should probably check on manga/LN at some point. wheezes)

I would absolutely be interested! I'm leaning toward having an area of study that's tied to his family's general domains, so I'm not gonna have that worked out until Friday, but I would be very happy to at the very least have them recognize each other in passing.

I haven't checked on the manga in a long long time, but I can vouch for the novels being thoroughly enjoyable. Especially if you enjoy slow burn relationships and world building mixed in under the comedy.

Alciel looks like he's in his twenties, and is canonically somewhere in his 1,500s. That aside, for AU purposes, I am absolutely down for whatever relationships are most interesting. Old classmate/junior who is still enslaved in the ivory tower but who picks up the odd delivery job (and has deep respect for the financial stability Ruan Mei has found) could be a great start.
