New Character | Albert Silverberg (Suikoden III)

Player Name: Seth
Character: Albert Silverberg (nom de plume 'Vincent C. Frost')
Canon: Suikoden III + Sheep PGAU
Family: Cirrus Network
AU idea(s):
  • Born Acidia, joined Cirrus in his late teens. Has no living family but retains an unhealthy interest in poisons and chemicals, and the C. in his name stands for his old nom de plume 'Calla.' None of this is common knowledge.
  • Was actually a weatherman in his early twenties, but decided it wasn't his preferred career and chose to open a private enterprise instead. He's been running it for a solid decade at this point, and it's a mainstay in Port Manteau.
  • By day his business operates as the Tranquil Breeze, a quiet homey coffeeshop that caters to older students and younger working folks -- delicious caffeine, snacks, free wifi and an easy attitude about people sitting in for a couple of hours to study and do work, have casual meetings, etc. He has some students who work part-time for him and help to run it.
  • By night it flips modes, dims the lights, shoos out minors, and becomes the popular drinking lounge called the Eye of the Storm. A lot of folks come here for the unique drinks he serves, but also because it's known to be a good spot to buy and sell information, especially from Frost himself. He works with all sorts and is known where it matters for his reliability and discretion as an info manipulator and broker. He has a known policy of not selling information about people in his immediate social/business circles or who are only a couple of degrees removed, to avoid conflicts of interest. He will purchase it, though.
  • The cafe/bar is open five days a week. He does tutoring services on the side during the other two, though he only takes a couple of students at a time. He's a busy dude, but he likes kids and makes time for them.
  • He also has criminal connections (unsurprising), but is very rarely called to do dirty work directly. His specialty in this context isn't murder; it's in making bodies and physical evidence disappear without ever being found.
CR you're interested in: OH BOY!

  • Customers! Cafe/bar regulars; people who've bought or sold info from him; people he has dirt on; people who have dirt on him. Are you a past or present student? Have you hired him to get rid of information in the system or to literally erase a dead body? Professionally he contains multitudes.
  • Business connections! Are you a regular shady contac? Do you help him deal with more aboveboard aspects of his business (e.g. food sourcing, finances?) Do you know him as a fellow business owner?
  • Employees! Day employees are much more casual/tend to be students, and night employees are older, know about the bar’s secondary purpose even if they’re not involved with it, and are steady long-term people he trusts/has asked to keep their mouths shut. I have no plans atm to reopen his business on the boat, but he will probably tap employees more readily to help him out with other stuff.
  • FELLOW CIRRUSES what do we have going on, what is up. he’s been in the Family a long time so it is feasible for him to have fairly involved/complicated history with people.
  • Friends? ENEMIES???
  • Past one-night stands. He doesn’t do long-term relationships but occasionally he’s DTF. I am up for both ‘banged once and then struck up a more involved work relationship or friendship after’ and ‘banged once and never saw each other again until they had to make eye contact on the boat,’ both are very funny.
I am basically down for anything interesting; my only nopes to AU are direct blood family or formal adoptive family relationships + romantic or sexual relationships other than past one-night stands. I WIL accept longterm mutual flirting or metaphorical pigtail-pulling though.

grabbyhands let me play with y'all
