Every month, we'll have a post where new characters and old characters can plan out backstories with one another. This should hopefully get characters something to work with when coming up with their alternate universes and get some prebuilt CR for those who are looking for it! This is NOT a requirement, you could be an unattached person if you'd like! However, for those who do want it, this is the place for you!

AU idea(s): FORMER ROCKSTAR WHO FAKED HIS DEATH AND BOUNCED. Firuz was born into an Aria family and used to be the frontliner of an explosively popular rock band (THINK NIRVANA POPULAR), which broke up when he was stabbed on stage during a concert and was NEVER SEEN AGAIN.

This is because he had a mental break from a LONG TIME OF BEING A ROCKSTAR and being nearly murdered catalyzed it so he fled from the hospital room and threw his phone in the ocean and changed his name and joined another Family.

That was five years ago! Now he does stock market predictions and writes general financial advice both for a newspaper and a blog. It's good financial advice.


Roles/CR you're interested in: Maybe you know his previous identity through TV documentaries, or interviews with his surviving bandmates, or internet conspiracy theories, or maybe you just like rock music.

WE ALREADY TALKED ABOUT STUFF BUT it occurs to me that given Sparrow comes from a family with a lot of history and deep connections in the Cirrus Network, maybe one of his close relatives helped Firuz with the whole identity fraud thing (just a little. like with falsifying the paperwork or whatever.)

Anyway if Firuz wants to recognize Sparrow like "wait...you look like that person who I know is high up in the Cirrus Network. why are you a foul-mouthed tattoo artist who wouldn't know business casual if it bonked you on the head with a polo shirt." He can.

idk if that would mean anything or lead to anything but shrug emoji???

Actually it would also be funny if they had a one night stand way before the whole faking his death thing and Sparrow just never knew that he slept with a famous rock star once. Again I have no idea if this would be meaningful in any way, I just think piling on random connections in AU backstories is hilarious. UP TO YOU THOUGH. I'm just excited for the Solar-Abyssal staring at each other in passing cars shenanigans to come.

And next time there's public karaoke I'm definitely going to have Moray sing one of his songs GET READY!! by which I mean please tell me what song he should sing, I don't know anything about rock music or music in general.

I usually sit these things out because my concept is [amnesiac from out of nowhere who only has roughly a month of memories, where he mostly stuck to cirrus] but since he DID interact with Cirrus, maybe I can start taking advantage of that a little. MAYBE

He has had involvement in encrypting/hiding and passing along information that is more secret, but I assume most of the coverup stuff happened so long ago that there is no reason for Hex to have touched it.

So maybe he did just get financial advice as someone who was starting from nothing as an adult, who needs to get some financial security quick. That seems pretty reasonable.

Jem's mother is a composer and record producer, and she also came from a long line of Arias, so he might know her.

Otherwise, I think it's that funny if she recognized him/his band from seeing his face during some anniversary memorial tribute by his "surviving" band members or one of those "in memoriam" montages at a music awards show.

Looking for:
- Friends. Exploring abandoned places friends, art friends, whatever. He has a soft spot for nerds. While the way he presents himself can come across as abrasive, past that exterior, he's a pretty chill person and a supportive friend. Always ready to lend a hand moving bodies or be a shoulder to cry on. But he tends to keep his problems to himself.

- Past flings. He's not interested in relationships (and I'm not interested in RPing a relationship with this character) but he has slept around. Friends with benefits, enemies with benefits, one night stands, poorly thought out attempts at dating that ended badly, it's all good. If this interests you, then let's chat.

- Enemies. He can be kind of abrasive and isn't always interested in playing nice if he doesn't feel like it. Negative CR is possible and welcome. If this interests you, then let's chat.

- Teachers/mentors/etc. Older figures in his life encouraging him in his efforts to be less of a hot mess. Bad influences encouraging him to be more of a hot mess. Both are welcome.

- Clients. In this AU, he's a tattoo artist and has been for a few years. Maybe he did your character's tattoo! We can discuss exactly what design and what happened as a result.

- Family. His immediate family has a long history and close ties with the Cirrus Network, but he left the Network and cut all contact with them about 8 years ago. Currently, he's estranged from his immediate and extended family. This is an option for potentially complicated family CR, such as a close relative he hasn't talked to in 8 years or distant relative he's secretly still in contact with.

- Former or current coworkers, neighbors, roommates, whatever. He's currently renting a room from Corretto Ashlesha/getlonely if anyone wants to be roommates.

AU idea(s): I'm rolling with amnesia unless a really good AU idea comes along before I intro, but until then!! I'm thinking she's been with whichever family for abouuuut half a year now, maybe a year? She'll have been a student, so if any fellow highschoolers wanna recognize each other what up. Maybe she could've had a part time job! If anyone has a business they wanna rope her into... Tbh I'm also open to just being dragged into someone's AU, feel free to propose stuff to me, otherwise that's what I've got. It's not much... au hard, me sleepy.
THAT SAID I don't plan on deviating too much from her og self, personality wise - she's friendly, but very timid and doesn't have a lot of confidence in herself, tending to put the needs of others' over her own to the detriment of her wellbeing. That's the basic ez summary.

- idk I am down for pretty much anything. He can be a chance acquaintance in any kind of scenario, as someone who is down for pretty much whatever and GENERALLY somewhat helpful.

Any other notes:
His AU is pretty loose rn, but he's basically a Jack-of-all-trades handyman type who lives in a converted vehicle and rides a motorcycle. His AU name is Tamahagane Kuon(Tama to his friends), but to escape from the cutesy nickname he calls himself Titanium.

He likes to adhere to an aesthetic, and the one he'd chosen is 'punk/bad boy' style, and it isn't ALL just the looks. He is the sort to enjoy going to a dive bar and listening to live, amateur artists, smoking, and getting into fights now and again. On the other hand, he is a huge nerd who prefers to spend evenings tinkering in his garage. I'll make sure to write this up in a little better on my profile, my brain is still warming up

FAMILY: Either found or extended family is good! She is also technically a middle child of three in total siblings so if you want Actual Family. Do not worry you do not have to be blue we'll figure something out. I JUST. Really enjoy found family tropes (obviously) and that's such a big thing for GoTG I do want to play with it a little bit in LL as she develops into regains. Loyalty/family is conceptually a really big thing for her so she would always put that kind of thing first and eventually may only be nicer/more open around them??? (Look I don't know how she'll react).

Please just let her be the older sibling for once. Even the cranky younger sibling is fun

CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES: Okay, so Nebula takes from the what if? heist stuff a bit here. She's from a filthy rich family and they're trying to push her into a role she doesn't want so she uses it to her advantage ??? She's still a preAtty stellar mechanic and hacker so she's often finding out about more nefarious things and trying to put a stop on them behind the scenes?? IDK QUITE HOW IT WORKS OUT. but her focus usually is getting people out of bad homes/shitty situations as quietly as possible.

So she'd need contacts/people to get information from (Cirrus???) probably. All of this would be online and tagged as C. If in person was necessary she would appear as a human and still only go by C/Corvus. They can figure it out, maybe, because she's not super hiding it. But connects/people who would help/people who may look into it (and yeah it's seedy but it's Generally for good).

SPARRING/MARTIAL ARTS: She is/was a championship martial artists who does self-defense classes regularly and free ones for youth on the weekend!!!! So if your character is someone who would look to take such classes or would in fact want to have some fun on the ring at some point.... She is happy to oblige.

PAST LOVES/FLINGS: Another thing I hold out my hands on because once she remembers canon she is gonna become so much more closed off. She will have been more extroverted/playful/social especially as a teenager and in college. If anyone is roughly in her age range (28ish) and want to have them have crossed path and either had a couple nights of fun, some trying and eh it's not us, serious or semi-serious relationships... Please. I'd really like one that was seriously positive for future things??? Doesn't mean they have to be together now/any present interest, but something we're they're close if you're up for it!!

GENERAL CR: I'd really just like??? A lot of positive CR for her. THIS IS NOT NO NEGATIVE CR. I am happy for negative stuff!!! If it works out that way, maybe they've got a rivalry. Maybe she accidentally got in the way during a heist or whatever- I AM TOTALLY COOL WITH IT. This is more of a Nebula is going to have a drastic character regain arc and I'd like her to experience having self worth, love, etc. while she can. That and also it'll hurt more later - but also I think she just deserves to see what she cold have been.

So I am genuinely happy to consider!! and take any CR you might want to offer.

In short the complete opposite of canon: She was born into a happy family as a middle child. She was well-loved, no one was killed, and she lives a good childhood where she was taught that doing the right thing was okay and that having a soft heart wasn't weak. (:

Her parents were in a middling successful health resort that became super popular/funded when she was in Middle School. As they grew in money/respect she was moved to a rich school. You know the kind Ouran High School style - she felt a little out of her depth and was eventually dragged into some Host Club esque shenanigans because it's funny and I might as well live this.

Her main hobby was martial arts and motorcycle racing and that still holds true today. She's seen as a very physically fit person. SHE IS PROBABLY WELL KNOWN in like martial arts circles and mildly known in motorcycle competitions as the person who shows up to race once and a while and still manages to do extremely well. Since the resort she's been assigned to has a bar she is often there?? Not even drinking, sometimes "working"

I'm pretty sure we decided that Jun worked in the cafe/coffee shop there??

Even here she always seems to be busy.... Very confident and tried to be empathetic. Can get a little awkward and be dumb off ass sometimes. Like why is this person actually smart but still managed to do something so stupid??? kind.

AU idea(s): He is a movie stunt performer who was recently in a Horrible Movie Prop accident and almost died. (A gun didn't have proper safety measures and shot him in the side).

He is Booker Storm's estranged little brother (they have never lived together since Feyd was like, one, so.) and was raised by their aunt and uncle. He had some troubles in school for bad behaviour but a relatively normal life.

Roles/CR you're interested in: Basically any kind of relations or previous interest points. Feyd does adrenaline sports and also has 3 hairless cats he loves very much okay. Also if people are in the movie industry they might have encountered him or know him. He's been in some action movies, horror and a few pornos, sorry.

Anyone who has encountered him previously and thought him a freak is fine.

If anyone wants to be the rare friend or acquaintance that Feyd tried to be normal with I am down for a rare true friend or sth too. We'd have to work out some stuff but I'm down.

ANIMAL LOVERS. If you frequent the cat cafe, you've probably seen this guy. Maybe you've been to the circus or an animal show. Maybe you hired somebody on an app to come walk your dog.

PROXIMITY-BASED FRIENDSHIPS: He's bad at making friends but it would be really nice for him to have a couple of people he can let his hair down around. Maybe a childhood friend or neighbor? Bonus points for assholes.

CHESS PARNTERS: everyone in AAI2 is obsessed with chess...

I'm not sure how much these two would have crossed paths except for at the cat cafe! Which I'm down for.

Till (Forte/Anarchy) dropped out of school too when he was younger to focus on working as a musician. As such, he's worked multiple jobs to make ends meet. He's a good worker at the cafe though!

One of his blessings allows him to turn into a bird or have wings/etc. I think I remember you saying he might be able to talk to animals for a blessing before? Or were considering it? (Maybe I am delusional and remembering something false.) If that is the case, though, some of the cats have probably been open about wanting to eat him since he's actually just a lil songbird.

It's fine.

If he frequents the cafe, Till will have at least been polite as a worker there. He can be kinda gruff outside of work though and is pretty focused on his music.

He won't get clown stuff but he won't stand in the way of his clowny dreams.

AU NOTES: I'm having her AU version be a private detective! So she keeps some of the canon inclinations of doing undercover work, but now for smaller and typically more private (and slightly less deadly??) affairs. Her being undercover just helps out sus out some of the spicier details of the types of targets and information she's after.
Looking for Past clients? Past investigation targets? Past friends (and friends with benefits??) I'm pretty flexible though overall she'd still be quite cagey about having deep connections with most people.

AU idea(s): I'm playing Mafuyu (Nom de Plume: Parisa) as an orphan who was raised in, well, an orphanage and helped out with her many siblings there as she grew older. Now that she's 18 she's got to figure something else out though, and though she has a number of great talents and a natural inclination to care for others, she feels a little directionless. Buuuut at least she's! Got the Holy Order!!! Yyyaaaaaaaay-
Talents include:
- Music (composing, playing instruments/digital music programs, lyric writing, singing AND sound mixing- she can do it all)

- Cooking (... though. sometimes it seems a bit off?)

AU idea(s): Still fleshing things out, but here's some general ideas:

- His mom is Holy Order, dad is Siren's Melodies. They had an amicable divorce when he was still young and he decided to flee to the Arias with his dad because he just wasn't suited to the Holy Order Lyfe and he knew it.

• Was actually a weatherman in his early twenties, but decided it wasn't his preferred career and chose to open a private enterprise instead. He's been running it for a solid decade at this point, and it's a mainstay in Port Manteau.
• By day his business operates as the Tranquil Breeze, a quiet homey coffeeshop that caters to older students and younger working folks -- delicious caffeine, snacks, free wifi and an easy attitude about people sitting in for a couple of hours to study and do work, have casual meetings, etc. He has some students who work part-time for him and help to run it.
• By night it flips modes, dims the lights, shoos out minors, and becomes the popular drinking lounge called the Eye of the Storm. A lot of folks come here for the unique drinks he serves, but also because it's known to be a good spot to buy and sell information, especially from Frost himself. He works with all sorts and is known where it matters for his reliability and discretion as an info manipulator and broker. He has a known policy of not selling information about people in his immediate social/business circles or who are only a couple of degrees removed, to avoid conflicts of interest. He will purchase it, though.
• The cafe/bar is open five days a week. He does tutoring services on the side during the other two, though he only takes a couple of students at a time. He's a busy dude, but he likes kids and makes time for them.
• He also has criminal connections (unsurprising), but is very rarely called to do dirty work directly. His specialty in this context isn't murder; it's in making bodies and physical evidence disappear without ever being found.

• Customers! Cafe/bar regulars; people who've bought or sold info from him; people he has dirt on; people who have dirt on him. Are you a past or present student? Have you hired him to get rid of information in the system or to literally erase a dead body? Professionally he contains multitudes.

AU idea(s): Banksy-esque "faceless" artist that moonlights as a hitman for the mob. Her family name is Moretta Cygnus, but her art is all signed "Kestrel Meteor".

In this AU Moretta comes from a mob-connected family (the Falling Stars. thats the cringe ass name we're going with) that’s fairly powerful and fairly ruthless. Val’s parents were already hitmen and raised her into the position as well. Her mob family primary engages in racketeering, counterfeiting, etc but when a rat needs to be taken out back it’s Val’s family that gets called. She views these people not as people but as vermin; she doesn’t seem to have any real qualms with killing or even some torture when needed, so long as it’s done in the line of duty to her family. She’s loyal and obedient to a fault, and while she’s kind and polite outside of her clean-up duties she doesn’t seem to see anything wrong with it (or unusual, even). Aligning this with Eonia's everything, ostensibly this IS contributing to a "better future". In... their own way... Moretta doesn't question it.

When she’s not committing crimes in the name of family, though, Moretta is a relatively well-known artist-- but only by name. Her paintings have gained recognition from their style, appearing both in shows and auctions. While her work is… pretty good, she mostly seemed to gain fame due to being more or less faceless– nobody knows who “Kestrel Meteor" is or what she looks like, or even if she is in fact a woman (she’s frequently gendered male in auctions and articles talking about her, so that gets peddled around more often).

She tends to lay low publicly and keep attention off of her by more or less just being… normal. She has hobbies and chills at cafes and keeps up her daily exercises, so she’s not an unknown around her community but more of a non-entity that nobody worries about. “Oh she’s nice” is generally the extent of most peoples’ knowledge who aren’t entwined with her more closely. On top of this, she’s often bound to her home– she has some chronic health issues (fevers, mostly) that keep her inside on a semi regular basis. Not enough to stop her daily runs, of course, but certainly enough to slow her down some. She IS friendly though, and fairly easygoing and a little flirtatious and isn't always shy about enjoying herself. Nor is she very shy about using this to her advantage in work situations, if needed.

She still has her neckwings (+ lower back wings but those are kept wrapped up mostly) but her halo is nowhere to be found; instead in this au it’s a collar she wears as a lifelong accessory.

He's really quite smart and he tinkers with mechanics on the side as a hobby, but his passion is to not disappoint his family and thereby he's prone to being no-fun man unless you can catch him being a kid for once.

Still determining exactly what that legacy is, politics or cops or something. The main takeaway is he genuinely believes that following in his parent's footprints is the best way for him to help society, even if that makes allowing some corruption. He's still empathic but well trained for 'it's complicated and sometimes you have to break a few eggs to make an omelet'.

So the general idea is the core part of his personality of "tired businessman" remains, but his moral compass shifts further to "ok with murder" than not. Had an insanely crazy childhood, one that strived for perfection in everything, no praise, no rewards, just non-stop expectation. The punishments were terrible, physically and mentally abusive (his parents were very creative), and he was socially lonely. He might have had 1 or 2 childhood friends that he ended up making at school which is why he isn't completely morally bankrupt, but at some point, he probably got caught with them and just [disappeared from any public setting] since then. HE WAS PROBABLY BORN TO A HOLY ORDER FAMILY or at least attended a Holy Order school.

He became somewhat of a snob towards people "less than perfect" until he got into capitalism workforce WHICH HE WAS GOOD AT and got a decent position early on, but he realized as he worked more and more that after all that time suffering, perfectionism literally means nothing. All the employees running the company were incompetent and stupid, and he would have to clean up the messes simply because he did not kiss ass enough. He'd watch decent, kind people get scammed by his dumbass bosses and despite his bosses gettingg caught over and over again, the system protected them from facing trouble. Perfect people should never get caught and yet here are these fools getting away with it all. On top of that, he soon realized his parents ran in those same circles without saying a word, and in his mind, he thought "ah, my parents aren't perfect after all."

So one day, something triggered him to snap and he just killed the entire upper echelon of his company and also his family.

And he did so perfectly because his blessing allowed him to. It's a blessing that will likely be masking his face/identity to anyone who witnesses it and he also probably gets a Cirrus member to erase his info from the system for some kind of exchange. HIS KILLER NAME IS THE HAZY KILLER or something like that because no one could remember who it was that killed all these people.

Anyway since then, he's probably lived some kind of underground murder life where maybe he joined a murder company (hello pep) but decided it was too much of a hassle to his simple dream of "normal living" so instead, he lives his life as a perfectionist murderer under the guise of an entertainment lawyer for Siren's Melodies under a new identity. If he cannot kill people's careers in court, he just kills them. He probably commits more crimes than that, but I'm keeping that part open as I develop him further.

I WILL NOTE, he is still kind to children (probably because his own childhood was terrible and the only kindness he received was from other children), but he understands his crimes probably left a lot of children parentless, too. He understands the hypocrisy, and that's why he tends to stay away from most relationships/potentially making a family/etc.

But there are exceptions!

How old is Jinx? I'm not familiar enough with her canon to know, but since you said school I'm assuming toward the end of high school? While I think they probably share a lot of the same hobbies, I'm not sure how much she and Forte would have run in the same circles... IT'S POSSIBLE. I just don't know.

He's done a lot of graffiti, though, that's slowed down some since he just flat out doesn't have a lot of time between all of his jobs, music, work, and streaming. He's a talented artist though! And he works... at a couple of different places. Though his main jobs at the moment are at the cat cafe and a bar while he tries to make it as a musician getting various gigs.

Since she went to a rather affluent school they probably wouldn't have crossed paths there, especially since he dropped out later in high school and just got whatever the world's equivalent to a GED is. But his older 'sis', star, took him in around when he was 12 and she owns and runs a music program for disadvantaged youth and she's pretty well-known as a singer. So she could maybe be vaguely aware of the program? IDK maybe her family donated to it once as a tax write-off. I'M JUST TRYING TO THROW HOOKS OUT. Till's gotten into his fair share of trouble in the past and brawls but he's honestly a good guy despite his tough exterior.

Tsukasa comes from an incredibly old, wealthy family with a main family and the branch family. The main branch looks better publicly at least than the branch family that is more involved with shady things (Felt- who I imagine you guys can figure things out if you want any connections there). But his grandfather is a pretty powerful/scary man, and his father has a terminal illness. They own a famous shrine which is where Tsukasa lives and stays and, because of his unique appearance (fox ears/tail/wings) and blessing, they've taken to sort of propping him up as someone people can pray to. HE'S NOT A LIVING GOD OR ANYTHING. But he can give out minor 'blessings' as part of his blessing (to his detriment). So like... that's a thing! His family is definitely playing into it. He's been incredibly isolated though so unless she's visited the shrine they wouldn't have seen one another. She's free to have heard about him though...!

Possiblyyyyyy they could have both been to some of the same rich person functions, but his family would have kept him mostly separated from speaking with others except in a very superficial way in order to maintain his position/appearance with the shrine.

He's got a Fiancée (unnamed because I don't think anyone will ever app into wanting to play that position) who also is from a wealthy family that both have been promised to due to their parents. But he's barely met or spoken to her at all. So I guess that he's engaged would be known among the rich families too.
