AU Backstory Planning Post

Every month, we'll have a post where new characters and old characters can plan out backstories with one another. This should hopefully get characters something to work with when coming up with their alternate universes and get some prebuilt CR for those who are looking for it! This is NOT a requirement, you could be an unattached person if you'd like! However, for those who do want it, this is the place for you!

Before you start with making an AU, I would recommend getting familiar with some of the information to get an idea of how the setting works here.

✯Established Characters

For established characters, you can use this post as well! If you have an "open to all" type of CR where you're always needing a certain type of CR, you can do that here! This includes a restaurant needing regular patrons or a teacher needing students, guinea pigs for experiments, etc. Open to All is literally Open to All, it is never closed until the OP player adds a CLOSED comment so if you're a new player, don't feel like you're overwhelming them by commenting!!

AU idea(s): I'm playing Mafuyu (Nom de Plume: Parisa) as an orphan who was raised in, well, an orphanage and helped out with her many siblings there as she grew older. Now that she's 18 she's got to figure something else out though, and though she has a number of great talents and a natural inclination to care for others, she feels a little directionless. Buuuut at least she's! Got the Holy Order!!! Yyyaaaaaaaay-
Talents include:
- Music (composing, playing instruments/digital music programs, lyric writing, singing AND sound mixing- she can do it all)
- Childrearing
- Sewing
- Cooking (... though. sometimes it seems a bit off?)
- Cleaning
- Athletics
- And MORE!!!
Roles/CR you're interested in: I'm going to be a little pickier about parental cr right now since I'm kinda burnt out on it. I'm mostly looking for friendships, siblings and Mafuyu wants to be seen as an adult since she's too old for the orphanage now. (that isn't to say i don't want it at all but she's gone this long without being adopted and will be a bit salty that it's only NOW that a parent wants her.) ~~Also I love romance but I promise I am normal about it~~
Wants and Dreams: I'm going to crush her wistful wondering about her birth family with the cold hard truth of canon some day :)

I NEED TO PERCOLATE HOW TO MAKE MUTUAL AU CR WORK WITH EITHER OF MY CHARACTERS OVERNIGHT I THINK (vash just doesn’t always work well due to his having weirder circumstances than most and not everything about charon’s au is finalized yet) but I do want something!!! puts a pin in this

For Charon he does have a couple of hooks because he both works teaching students and runs a weird little quiet hybrid bar/cafe, so some possibilities are:

- he COULD tutor her if she's still attending school in some fashion at 18. this does not necessarily need to be something she hired him for; if she hung out and studied at the cafe as a regular they could easily have struck up a casual friendship where he just let her chill there with drinks and free wifi and occasionally would sit down and help her out during lulls if she seemed to be struggling with something.
- if you want her to have a side job or something, it's possible for her to work part-time at his business during the day (when the cafe portion is open and the bar portion is closed -- this is not due to her age, he just runs it at night alone for Reasons.)
- OR SOMETHING ELSE if you wanna take bits of this or have a more interesting angle in mind I am open to tweak, he ain't even placed yet so there's time lol. I will note that I don't know where he'll go but did request Unholy Disorder as one of his possibles, so if he ends up there we could figure out something around that.

I'm still stuck on how to make something work with Vash's AU so I think quite possibly he will just meet her on the ship and think she is a nice young lady.

i could mix both of the first options since she is still in school (and is trying to figure out if she wants to try for college or go straight to work since she has to be out of the orphanage soon), but honestly she'd probably offer to help out at the cafe also since its one of the few refuges she has and its very dear to her. it's a unique area where she doesn't have to be the big sister- or at least not as big of the big sister as she normally is, if she's not allowed to go out without some of the younger kids- while letting her still be productive but also offering relaxation...
this also does put charon in the position of being an adult she actually does confide in instead of her trying to be seen as more of an adult since thats how everyone else is treating her, which is very dear to me (i cannot emphasize enough how much i love charon and sonata seth) (this is a different take on mafuyu but still)

his being potentially unholy disorder is also very good because thats two there she'd know and like now, but also i can already see an arc where she becomes disillusioned with the holy order and this sets up pieces of that beautifully

HELLO I AM HERE WITH THE PROMISED CR AND IT IS honestly Snow is just a super social and friendly Acidia who frequents the cat café and stuff, but also easily ends up chatting with people he's run into and making friends with them. He is also athletic and currently has a career of making medicine for a living despite being like, sixteen, because geniuses rip.

I'm down for them having just run into each other Around and knowing each other from that, but if you have any ideas on how they would potentially be closer I'm down for that too! He does try to lend a hand if he gets the sense that someone could use a little extra help, maybe talking her through potential jobs based on her skills?

but yes! they can and should be friends!! parisa IS a normal student with a cute lil part time job with frost, but she also helps her "siblings" out a whole lot so we have Options-

What a good girl!! He's v supportive of her endeavors, he will cheer her on and help her out with anything she might need!
