AU Backstory Planning Post

Every month, we'll have a post where new characters and old characters can plan out backstories with one another. This should hopefully get characters something to work with when coming up with their alternate universes and get some prebuilt CR for those who are looking for it! This is NOT a requirement, you could be an unattached person if you'd like! However, for those who do want it, this is the place for you!

Before you start with making an AU, I would recommend getting familiar with some of the information to get an idea of how the setting works here.

✯Established Characters

For established characters, you can use this post as well! If you have an "open to all" type of CR where you're always needing a certain type of CR, you can do that here! This includes a restaurant needing regular patrons or a teacher needing students, guinea pigs for experiments, etc. Open to All is literally Open to All, it is never closed until the OP player adds a CLOSED comment so if you're a new player, don't feel like you're overwhelming them by commenting!!

AU idea(s): Lucio is a bonafide himbo who works in a swanky host club as an eccentric host. His flirting and charming abilities are questionable at best, but he coasts through life on his good looks. He also delivers informal therapy to the masses so long as they pay the two-drink minimum cover fee. If you want a hype man to espouse lengthily about your best assets, he's your guy. He will also gladly do roleplay scenarios at an extra cost. Ever wanted your own wish.com Edward Cullen? He's (again) your guy.

When he's not hosting, he's a complete beach bum, often surfing, working out, and tanning by the shore. He's an affable sort who uses his hosting job to keep himself off the streets, as he has few other talents and skills, and his only goal in life is just to help people feel pretty and good about themselves.

I am so down for this. He has been gladly joining his brother from another mother for some sick arm reps and complimenting his biceps for encouragement.

I can offer Jiro/Vivi for either:

Hangs at the skatepark by the beach so they've seen each other around often and chatted

and/or

Vivi came to the host club to share his woes one day after work, but then because his office has near the host club they kept running into each other at the station and realized they were both going home to the same neighborhood, so they became commute buddies.

or

Vivi did a very brief stunt working at the host club and Lucio was in charge of mentoring him, but then Vivi quit one day to pursue stunt work but they kept in touch.

I am going to go with Vivi, the young host he mentored briefly while he worked at the same host club and still chats with long after because they get along swimmingly. And because Lucio is just like that. Once a host, always a host in his heart.

Ahaha, he sounds incredible honestly. I DON'T KNOW HOW, but either way I would enjoy more Evy CR!

Forte (Till) probably doesn't frequent those places. He works underground gigs as a singer and works multiple jobs, though, so if he ever came across him in a place like that they could have at least crossed paths before?

He'd make a terrible host tho so not there... =')

Valerian (Tsukasa) is also someone who barely left the shrine he was raised in. So if he ever visited his shrine, I suppose they could have! But I'm happy to toss him your way too.

Bless. I am sure Lucio could have caught Forte at some of his live underground shows and been a fan and supporter. He came ready with glow sticks to cheer him on, and he'd be happy to expose Valerian to new frontiers and share stories with him. There's a whole new world...a new fantastic point of view...

Ready to adopt them both like he's never been ready before even if he's a terrible mentor in all capacities...it's okay, all young folk need terrible influences here and there.

Ristretto's not the host club type per se but has almost certainly done vlogs at the beach to demonstrate astronavigation techniques, which

probably lines up poorly with his beachgoing schedule but if they just exchanged a couple of words occasionally going their separate ways at sundown and ended up in the same Family I think that'd be cute.

He probably came up to her every time she was at the beach doing work to chat and poke her about astronomy questions. Maybe even give her some unwanted tips on getting aesthetically pleasing tanlines.

she would absolutely answer any astronomy questions - whatever she's not clear on she'll at least be happy to point him towards someone else with the answers, and she is likewise content to listen to his tanning advice, but she only seems to ever actually follow it during the summer months. mysterious

Do tell him what is the brightest star in the sky and why is it her. And it's okay, she gets a nice discount in exchange for the astronomy lessons if he can ever talk her into ladies night at the host club.
