AU Backstory Planning Post

Every month, we'll have a post where new characters and old characters can plan out backstories with one another. This should hopefully get characters something to work with when coming up with their alternate universes and get some prebuilt CR for those who are looking for it! This is NOT a requirement, you could be an unattached person if you'd like! However, for those who do want it, this is the place for you!

Before you start with making an AU, I would recommend getting familiar with some of the information to get an idea of how the setting works here.

✯Established Characters

For established characters, you can use this post as well! If you have an "open to all" type of CR where you're always needing a certain type of CR, you can do that here! This includes a restaurant needing regular patrons or a teacher needing students, guinea pigs for experiments, etc. Open to All is literally Open to All, it is never closed until the OP player adds a CLOSED comment so if you're a new player, don't feel like you're overwhelming them by commenting!!

oh god you're making me think about timelines

if they met at the specialty clinic then I'd assume late teens/early twenties? I assume it should be BEFORE he ruined his weatherman career for maximum hilarity but I don't remember the timeline on that one

he would be very good at keeping Frost healthy. shows him all the best snacks to eat. accidentally becomes his personal dragon trainer-

His intern-into-weatherman era was age 18-22 (he quit literally a couple of months after debuting as a full on air weatherman) and his solo career was 22-32 if that helps you decide what placement is funniest here; up to a few years post-weatherman ‘I love you’ would still have destroyed him utterly but I also think it would be funny if he was directly adjacent to the career ending incident as it happened and looked into it and put the pieces together post breakup, so. UP TO YOU

god eugene would know all the dragon tells and the dragon medical history that’s so embarrassing

"he was directly adjacent to the career ending incident as it happened and looked into it and put the pieces together post breakup" is THE most dramatic option so I can't NOT take it. so let's say they were Dating In College as 18-22yos, or however long you were imagining them being in a relationship for before Frost freaked out and ghosted. (this also feels like it makes sense if they'd have lived together at any point)

18-22 is absolutely the funniest most dramatic span

escapes bad family into a new Family > met a cute boy and got on an amazing career track to success > 4 years later it all crashed and burned and he disappeared is beautiful

also what he would have been able to dig up re: the incident is that

- probably frost quit his job either right before or right after the disaster confession
- the station received a staggering number of complaint calls about him in the weeks before he left. like if he was on air for two months it started after the second week and continued into a full uproar for a solid six weeks until he quit
- it was hush hushed somehow cuz the station didn’t want any more trouble. there are hints that it was related to nonconsensual Blessing use upon the callers but the actual call transcripts were likely destroyed
- there were recordings of the broadcasts available but watching them didn’t hold any clues other than that Vincent was looking increasingly stressed on camera in the later ones (his voice only affects viewers on live broadcast)
- he would remember that Vincent also started stressing out at home in those six weeks but wouldn’t tell him what it was about. possibly they had a big fight about it one night and eugene going ‘I love you and we’ll make it through this’ the next day was the breaking point lol

i went into a fugue state and started doing all my tags but yes stamp of approval for this insanity lets make their lives wild (also ty for the info i will only use it for Evil(tm) later on)
