Every month, we'll have a post where new characters and old characters can plan out backstories with one another. This should hopefully get characters something to work with when coming up with their alternate universes and get some prebuilt CR for those who are looking for it! This is NOT a requirement, you could be an unattached person if you'd like! However, for those who do want it, this is the place for you!

I don't know what to offer with either of my boys, I just want CR! Whether it's brand new since their arrival on the ship or something before.

Forte appreciates art a lot, since he does a lot of painting/drawing outside of his music stuff, so maybe he knows her through appreciating that? How old is she? I think younger than Forte and older than Valerian. (21 and 17)

Either way...! I'm down for whatever CR. =3

If she has a floaty mechanical whale with her on the boat, she and Sam need to need meet on principle because he also has one (it's a narwhal but still.)

Sam is very into art, so I could have him be a client.

She's also within age range for Sam to flirt with her so he probably does on principle she doesn't have to flirt back though wew.

SO many Forges work at The Shop and Lea is ONE OF THEM! So if she's been around the Shop at all then he can for sure know her from that! She might just barely have been at the Facility around the same time as him too, if you were going to have her be at the Facility at all then he may have like, babysat her while the adults were doing other things fgksjgf

- I'm translating her canon capability of being extremely gifted at killing to like physics and engineering. Think that kid you hear about on the news who's fixed some issue that the adults were struggling with at like 9 without even trying.
- She's not an orphan but her parents worked at the Facility and she tagged along or was there for some classes.
- Became a pretty famous science youtuber at like 14. Bought a studio out in the woods like this year to do crazier projects like explosions!!! and building things!!!
- As a general rule her youtube stuff tends to be community service orientated. People tell her she should pick up bigger things and she's just like "I like helping fix this issue they're having and seeing them happy!!!!"
- Unfortunately, she rarely charges. Like ever. Why would she she's a cute dog girl the ad revenue does it for her???
- She spends a lot of time frequenting cafes and new attractions. She has a secondary channel that is just how much she likes this food and sometimes she tries to guess the recipe. Other times she's pretending to be a penguin at the aquarium. Extremely athletic and never seen stopping moving, some videos are probably of her hiking up mountains or making her own ziplines and testing them.
- Her Youtube channel is probably something like K✪LIN
- When she's not doing youtube stuff she is genuinely probably doing the same thing she does on camera... Stopping to see if someone needs help, cheerfully recommending outfits or food, never wasting a moment. There was a time people thought that she was doing stuff for views and some people still start those rumors but real fans know she's just Like This.
- She's 18!!! So while they suggested she graduate early she was stubbornly like "okay but I want to enjoy my childhood". So she's in her final year of high school at the HS most of the other teens go to. She's probably very popular but she misses class at least once a week.
- Basically she is just a happy go lucky golden retriever living her best life without a care in the world (yet) and no trauma child assassin nonsense can touch her here.

AU idea(s): I tried to make a normal brothers au and then remembered that's impossible.
❥ Original nom de plume was Eugene River, I am TBD if he is changing his last name to match Family themeing at all so bear with me. But if you knew him before his arrival on the ship you would have known him as Eugene River!
❥ He grew up completely normally with his cute little brother Yoohyun Haeyeon and his normal parents, none of whom were originally affiliated with any specific Family. But because his little brother is SO CUTE and SO PERFECT he kept getting scouted by all of the Families to join them. His parents were supportive of whatever Haeyeon wanted to do, but Eugene was very protective and didn't want him to join any Family that wasn't going to treat him right!! He kept accidentally pissing people off in other Families by implying they weren't good enough for his brother or weren't going to treat him right.
❥ Eventually Haeyeon decided to join Siren's Melodies because the entertainment industry pays really good. Haeyeon picks up things so fast (on account of being!!! perfect!!!), that for the early years of his life his managers just kind of had him doing everything to see what stuck. Eventually they landed on acting and he's a big movie star now.
❥ Eugene tagged along to ALL of his little brother's gigs; any time the working conditions seemed bad he'd kick up a HUGE fuss, so he accidentally made some enemies in The Arias as a result, oopsie.
❥ He also had a habit of trying to look after child stars around his age or younger so they'd grow up healthy despite being in showbiz. This just kept ending badly for one reason or another (they'd have a falling out or disappear or die or something else, insert your falling out reason here).
❥ Haeyeon saw that being even slightly connected to The Arias was not doing great for Eugene's mental health so he pushed his brother away and refused to meet him or speak to him in the hopes that it would get him to stop getting tangled up in other people's business.
❥ Eugene took this the wrong way and thought that if he joined a Family it would make his brother talk to him again.
❥ He finally joined a Family an hour ago and then immediately got pulled onto the ship before he could try to contact his brother to get back into his life

❥ For his profession he's a Specialized Veterinary Technician Assistant. Most of the time his job is just about assisting vets with animals. Normal stuff. But since not everyone in the world is fully human, he can also assist with anyone who has non-human traits! For example, if someone has wing sores and needs them looked at to figure out the problem, a normal hospital might not know what to do, but the specialty clinic can handle it! People with strange attributes also tend to have Blessings, so they're equipped to handle people with haywire Blessings and the like.

Looking for Acquaintances from school, but no one super close because he no longer attends in person! Fans of his cute moon bunny themed Vtuber, Mochiru Moon - he specializes in gaming and singing and started off indie before getting grabbed by HaZE.

Any other notes: He's from an utterly normal family that was never a member of an actual Family, with the nom de plume of Four. His parents taught him to be nice to others which he has interpreted as "go out of your way to do nice things for others all the time forever." As a result, he was always giving classmates just about anything they asked for from him with seemingly no regard for his own wants or needs, which made him come across as kind of a huge weirdo! He's bullied over it as a result, but since he always claims he is not in fact being bullied there hasn't been much action taken to put a stop to any of it. May or may not have also been looking directly at people's desires with a Blessing for extra creepy factor. He's otherwise a regular student at age 16 and would have probably met others in regular high school accordingly. Within the last half a year or so, he stopped attending school entirely and has not been seen around Port Manteau since.

Coincidentally, there's a similarly cheerful and sweet Vtuber who got picked up by corporate not long after! Mochiru Moon, an originally indie Vtuber who exploded in popularity due to a high quality rig and other self-made assets. Specializing in gaming but also capable of singing and holding the audience's attention with a lot of rapidfire, terminally online chatter, his subscription count rose quickly and he was grabbed by HaZE as a number of agencies were looking to make their own offers to him, and was subsequently recruited to the Family when they realized he also has Blessings! He's themed around a moon rabbit and is known for a fandom that's either all positivity with no room for any negative comments, or a chunk of fans who believe themselves to be guardians of their oshi against those who would take advantage of his kindness, as he believes and is sympathetic to every single sob story and request for aid he gets from his chat.

He almost certainly has a HaZE nom de plume now I just need to figure one out. While he has shown up to HaZE headquarters as needed, he's kind of a headache to deal with because he's such a doormat he tends to bend to the wishes of his fans immediately - he has, however, been improving (slowly) on this front.

AU idea(s):
- Child of a single mother who left his dad shortly after he was born: doesn’t actually know anything about his dad except that he turned out to be really shitty and tbh has negative interest in knowing anything about his dad. Definitely kind of a mama’s boy.
- Got into a fair number of fights when he was little when other kids would say shitty things about his mom/him not having a dad, between being a mama’s boy and wanting to come to her defense and having a quick temper. This kind of stops both because he ends up winning most of the fights and then gets too tall and big as a teenager for others to want to fight.
- Is actually a good student (except for all the fights) and works hard: wants to ensure that his mom’s sacrifices to raise him are worth it. Goes to college on a scholarship, and once he is done with undergrad, goes to get his master’s in library science (and archiving).
- Gets recruited by Acidia when finishing high school: they end up paying for graduate school, though not his undergrad. Currently working as an archivist for Acidia and doing some other medicine-related stuff on the side, though his day job is a librarian at a public library, mostly working in the children’s section. And somewhat inadvertently the resident sexy if intimidating librarian: while he’s great with kids, he’s not so good with adults.
- Has had a few casual boyfriends and flings, but hasn’t dated anyone he would want to bring home to his mom. Meanwhile, his mom has been hinting that he should bring home a nice boy to meet her One of These Days.
- Has had any number of side hustles and random jobs in undergrad and grad school (because he still needed to pay rent/eat/etc and was not about to ask his mother for money). Among the long list of random shit he did at some point: tutoring, worked at some cafes (barista/cook/waiter), naked model for life drawing classes, probably did a little (clothed) modeling of some kind, sometimes cooking pop-ups because he’s a great cook, tutor, worked at some cafes, tried being a masseuse, etc. He did also formerly have a page on whatever this setting's equivalent of OnlyFans is during late undergrad/early grad school: he hasn't posted anything new to it in a couple of years, but he didn't take anything down, either.

• Her family-family runs a casino that entails some especially shady practices, such as predatory money lending (that results in dangerous loan sharking) and so forth—but she's trying to distance herself from all of that, that's not her!!
• ULTIMATELY SHE'S STILL A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT with decent grades, who is somehow doing holy order things
• Though she and [Zwei] were once peas in a pod, they haven't been on good terms since her departure from Unholy Disorder

AU Info: Goes by Eve (female presenting) or Cort (male presenting) in different spheres of their life and does NOT let them cross each other generally. This will be much harder to keep separate on a boat and also people who are either nosy or sleuthy or whatever are free to have suspicions or guesses.

I'll generally use she when Nnk is being Eve and he when Nnk is being Cort. The TL;DR is that Eve/Cort has a lot of uncomfortability with themself and is trying to resolve that by being different people.

→ Eve runs a youtube channel mostly being like 5-Minute-Crafts but outdoorsy. Like twiggy girl in a school uniform shows you how to light a fire. Completely impractical looking but feeds the algorithm well. Also has a relatively robust social media presence of mostly innocuous or kind of airheaded posts.
→ Does do IRL stuff as Eve as well, people who have met her would say she's a little cranky but generally kind. Not huge on going out but Eve is generally the more 'public' IRL persona. Grocery shops as Eve, that kind of thing.
→ A little nosy and a little odd but also often distanced and fairly private. More likely to tell you about you than herself. Will occasionally reply to comments on her videos with something about the commentor that is dead-on and honestly probably embarrassing.

→ Cort does sketchy ebay basically. He's much more 'underground' on the internet and the kind of person a friend of a friend of a friend might pass info to so you can get that super rare Pokemon card you want or something. You can also buy a kidney from him. Don't ask questions.
→ Is a shut-in. Internet most of the time. Orders food in but makes the Doordasher leave it on the doorstep. Occasionally makes the rare IRL appearance but hates people and will either speak very little or say things you really wish he wouldn't.

AU idea(s): He is going to be from a poverty background (because it's a fun role reversal ok), and was born into Eonia. He had to scramble to help his family with money from a pretty early age, but stubbornly always made time for school and music and taking care of stray cats. He would get into scuffles a lot though, because he is very resentful of the upper class and is inclined to simply hit anyone "above" him who says anything negative about him or esp his family. He probably lied about his age as a high schooler to get night shift jobs. As a freshly graduated adult he is now trying to find a career where he can use his skills to combat class inequality. With prejudice. He's an eat the rich kinda boy and will find his visions of being upper crust highly offensive. But I have no specific details ironed out except that he dated Affogato at some point and they broke up, so help me fill those in!

Roles/CR you're interested in: I would love to have family members! (as in immediate home family). Also anyone he may have tussled with before, or who helped him stir shit, or helped him feed stray cats... Classmates/teachers from school or people who worked with/employed him also very good.

Wants and Dreams: I would definitely love for him to have some rivals or enemies to yell at, esp if they're very nice to him and he dies of embarrassment. Also would enjoy anything that helps cement his kinda shady/dangerous childhood.
