AU Backstory Planning Post

Every month, we'll have a post where new characters and old characters can plan out backstories with one another. This should hopefully get characters something to work with when coming up with their alternate universes and get some prebuilt CR for those who are looking for it! This is NOT a requirement, you could be an unattached person if you'd like! However, for those who do want it, this is the place for you!

Before you start with making an AU, I would recommend getting familiar with some of the information to get an idea of how the setting works here.

✯Established Characters

For established characters, you can use this post as well! If you have an "open to all" type of CR where you're always needing a certain type of CR, you can do that here! This includes a restaurant needing regular patrons or a teacher needing students, guinea pigs for experiments, etc. Open to All is literally Open to All, it is never closed until the OP player adds a CLOSED comment so if you're a new player, don't feel like you're overwhelming them by commenting!!

Flat | Top-Level Comments Only

CR WITH ELLIOT PLEASE, reaches for. Heron is 19 and USED TO BE a rich kid until shortly after his parents died, when he yeeted himself onto the streets to escape foster care, running around doing graffiti and being a skater boy punk and keeping an eye on the other street kids; even when his parents were alive, he tended to run around on the streets from a concerningly young age being a friendly local feral cryptid child keeping tabs on the homeless and handing out bottled water and non-perishables to those in real trouble etc.

he also helped his adoptive little brother Magpie rescue and re-home stray cats and other animals

and he was Affogato's childhood best friend who vanished on him.

SO so maybe he met Elliot at some point while definitely not sleeping in dumpsters? OR if they met at school before he skipped grades and ghosted his entire life he'd know him as Amantius the kind of quiet and aloof usually well-behaved smart nerd?

If he was running around on the streets in the same general area Elliot's family is in, they probably would've met there! Elliot's the kind of kid who littler kids would look up to because he's willing to punch bullies but keeps that aloof grumpy attitude. His mom also probably hands out snacks to the neighbourhood street kids but also scolds them into washing their faces/hands and buttoning up their shirts first. Strict but nice.

BUT LATER. Elliot would definitely have gotten paid to remove Heron's graffiti at some point. Maybe several points. Maybe repeatedly in a war over a specific wall. And maybe would've gotten a little bit territorial over the stray cats he cares for in a like. "These are community cats and they're taken care of where they are" (read: He's attached and feels guilty that he can't take them all in at his own house) way...

AS FOR AFFY, Elliot met him while working as a busboy/cleaner at a casino, so it was within the last couple of years. They had a really mutually toxic relationship that ended Badly and Elliot probably avoids even speaking about him lest it make him want to punch a wall.
