I’m claiming Dec 6-9 (5 PM PST game start and game end times) for a rousing social mingle round of Never Have I Ever — with a Limelight twist! This version includes both your AU and canon—so if you get the prompt ‘never have I ever driven a bus,’ and your character did so in both lives, they’d see indicators/tasks for both even if they hadn’t regained a specific canon bus driving memory yet.

There will also be smooching, drinking and some light status effects involved, nothing crazy or traumatizing since y’all have been through it lately. Dixie is the running NPC!

I’m gonna slide it in the IC/OOC rules on the day of too, but: please don’t take a game like this as an opportunity to wildly infomod others, and generally keep communication channels and everyone’s comfort levels in mind with what your character learns about themselves/others in this game! Have fun with it in a reasonable way.

Hello!! I'm looking for a few helpers to assist me and Mitzi with some upkeep! I keep getting yelled at by the kind playerbase so I have no choice in the matter!!!!! (this is a joke, I appreciate everyone's kindness and consideration ;3;)

I'm looking for a couple of helpers for specific categories:

Please write better location descriptions than Celi. I'd like some writing/editing of the current locations and also for future locations! My writing skill is like so-so, but I'm not as detail-orientated nor do I have a consistent flow when it comes to writing this kind of stuff. I used to rely on photos I find on google search but now...lol...lol..........ai lol......so yes, if you can assist with writing locations, that'd be sweet!!

NPC Questions Recorder (maybe also plot gatherer tbd). This one is a fun one I think (?) but basically I'll link you to a specific plot post where my npcs are getting grilled by pcs and what I want is for you to put all of the relevant questions and answers that come out of it into a single word doc. This is for my reference and for player reference! I have started gathering a lot of this but this slows me down a lot because it never ends so if you're interested in this, let me know!!

Powers TEN HELPS US WITH THIS SO I'M NOT HIRING PPL BUT I JUST WANTED TO THANK TEN FOR ALL THEIR HELP!!!!! Currently Ten is working on a cool pre-approved power spreadsheet so if you're too lazy (like me) to think up stuff, you can just pick and go or even use it as a good base reference.

Layout/coding/navigation stuff I HAVE HIRED MEL FOR THIS THANKS MEL!!!! But also if you're interested in general, I can probably take another person in.

Bimonthly updates (possible housekeeper?) Right now, this is just posting new AU posts and updating the food menu, I don't know if there's other stuff to be added but consider it like a mini/backup housekeeping job. Mitzi does a lot of the AC stuff so you don't have to worry about AC in particular but if she needs extra help, and you're okay with it, she might poke you for help!! Plus maybe a future feature that's tbd but it's a secret for now, whoo.

Please keep in mind, I know I can be finicky about certain things (this is why I try to do a lot myself lol), and I know sometimes I have trouble articulating my brainisms into words! I'll do my best to be clear though and honestly, I do appreciate any volunteers as a whole and I will probably cry in your lap in appreciation everyday, I already cry in Mitzi's lap everyday.

It'll free up a lot of time for us to look at large scale events that we want to run in the future and do more fun npc stuff for everyone and then everyone's stuff will be more up-to-date!

✯Information

Every month or two, I'll post a scenario that people can use to play out "past memories" within their Estoria lives. This scenario style is kind of similar to the rp meme comm, bakerstreet style, where there will be a theme to the post to give some direction to your threads!

Potential New Players can try out their characters here as well! This is a great place to test drive as needed. However, for new characters, please post a toplevel instead of commenting to others UNLESS YOU HAVE PERMISSION FROM THE TOPLEVEL PLAYER that it's okay. The reason is unless stated otherwise, everything here will be considered canon. If you just want to test drive without any fear of making things canon, just notate "TEST DRIVE" in your header! Otherwise, treat it as canon even for new characters!

This is a post to play out backstory scenarios! Why have an AU if we CANNOT PLAY WITH THE AU!!!!!! I also enjoy the dichotomy of past and present threads so hopefully you can enjoy that as well!!

But if you just wanna mess around and not make it canon, notate that in the toplevel header with something like "NON-CANON" just so the other player is aware.

✯FEATHER FAIRE✯
A large troupe from Unholy Disorder loves to host these hidden festivals that are only spread by sharing a "feather" to someone you trust. They do not happen frequently and there is no rhyme or reason as to when they happen. The only thing that never chances is the invite is through a singular feather.

The feather often has the details of when this hidden carnival is being held. There's no price, no fee, if you have seen the feather, you've been invited, and it's expected that you'll pass the feather to someone else. Now obviously, there are those who will spread the information online which feels like it defeats the purpose of having a secret festival, but the spirit of the festival remains:

"I want to make fun memories with you with this once in a lifetime event."

✯ Prompts

1. You received the feather to the festival. You can now choose one person to give it to. Who do you choose?

2. The festival is near the Seastar Ocean this time around, taking place as the sunsets. The general theming seems to be, "Even if we forget, it still exists." When you enter, you're given a conch that sparkles only as the darkness begins to take over the beach. They say you and another should take your regrets and speak them into the conch, and once you're done, you can send it to the ocean. This is said to give you good luck as you're letting go of the regrets that held you down.

3. Sandcastle contest!! The ones who make the most impressive sandcastle or sandsculpture will win a fabulous trip for two!!

4. The odd thing about Seastar Ocean is that some say that if you swim in the water, and someone happens to be nearby, you can feel their emotions channeling through you. It's as if the emotions carried by the moment are being spread by the ocean to whoemver is nearby...

5. Choose your own prompt! This can be anything you like. It can be related to beaches and this festival or even just something unrelated (going to the cafe to eat a meal, doing a convention, going to see movies together, etc). Go wild!

This should hopefully get characters something to work with when coming up with their alternate universes and get some prebuilt CR for those who are looking for it! Good evening, happy Sunday! Many announcements today, huzzah!

I have finished overtime and have no more birthday obligations, my weekends should hopefully be less hell for the time being, prayerhands! I'll be catching up on any unanswered tags so as always, feel free to poke me if a few days have gone by and I haven't responded.

✯ You'll be seeing some game info pages disappear and look funky as I rearrange the navigation a bit. There are a LOT of pages, and the organization (to me) is confusing so I'm working to condense them in a way that makes sense. FOR EXAMPLE:

✯ PERFORMANCES AND MEMORIES are on their own page together. I added more information on memory loss characters, how new characters will receive information from others, information on producers, memory objects, and memory regain pacing advice. Please read it for new information!

✯ ACHIEVEMENTS AND OTHER MONTHLIES! This is a post with more detailed information on how achievements work. They've been updated and now applied ICly as of Day 215. This also has information on how to unlock new locations ICly and an updated hotel room menu for food!

✯ I will be re-updating family/organization and lore pages next (which I've already started working on). I know that there's a lot of information that's been thrown around, and some of it comes off contradicting in places so I'll work to clarify those areas. I know it gets very overwhelming to follow so HOPEFULLY, having it in a singular area will make it easier. In general, I know there's a lot of information everywhere hence the reorganization!

✯ Information on Death since that's now a thing in this game: You cannot die in this game. When you get to a point where your body cannot live on its own, your body will begin to pull itself back together. You do not regenerate limbs, your original limbs will come find you and reattach themselves to your body. This is the basic idea but I'll have more details soon.

✯ For characters in a coma (due to being dropped), you can visit them! If you ask the staff, they'll direct you to Captain Man, he'll take you to a ? floor near the Captain Man quarters and near it will be the Sleepy PPL Infirmary/Bedrooms (i will give it a different name, just consider it an infirmary for now). You'll find them in their own cushy rooms, sleeping peacefully, looking fine and healthy. I'll be adding this information to the hiatus/drop page soon!

✯ Did you know our nav page was private-locked all this time? My bad, I unlocked it so now new potential players can actually find it,,, I'll try to add it in the profile too.

✯ Flexible placements are still a thing!! I know some people were confused but it's still definitely a thing that'll happen especially when I'll start shrinking the game cap in the future. It's usually for people who will be in queue for a bit or people who are potentially interested in teams that are full, if you're gunning for a team that has open slots, you don't have to worry about it as much.

HELLO FRIENDS, Juri here! I will be running a game starting on Friday, September 20th. It'll span multiple days, through Tuesday the 24th and it will be bingo.

I have a spreadsheet over here with the bingo card template and the topics list! You will need to copy this sheet to your own Google Drive! The first sheet is if you want to create your own card, while the second sheet is a randomized one if you're feeling lazy — the randomizer can be wonky, so you may want to tweak it! I do recommend copying your randomized sheet to a new tab to preserve it. The third sheet has all the different topics. I'm giving this to you guys now so you can build your cards ahead of time. If you have any questions about the spreadsheet, please don't hesitate to hit me up either in this post or in #gamerunner-questions.

The focus for this game will be on encouraging you to build relationships with others! The potential topics run the gamut, positive to negative, allowing you a variety of things. If a task requires props, they'll be made available to you, so don't worry about that. And if a square seems vague? Well. Being creative is fine.

You are encouraged to do these with many different people. In theory, you could complete your card with one person, but the Diviner will Know. That said, you may do one activity with someone that will also tick off another box in the process, and that's fine! I don't expect people to do 20+ different things. Just don't lock yourself in the bathroom with Captain Man and kiss him twenty five times or something.

In terms of board customization, anything goes. You could do a board full of trust falls! But each square must be with someone else. You can select whatever from the list and put it however you like. Win conditions are things like variety (in terms of people), creativity, and other fun stuff.

Past Lives

✯WINTER SCAVENGERS WEEK✯
Every year, around day 90 of the Stars Cycle, there is an unofficial festival where you must "scavenge" a gift for the people you care about. This means you cannot buy the gift, but you must actually "find" a gift. Now it's unofficial because it can obviously lead to stealing a gift but the idea is that you can put feelings into whatever you find, and that's all you need for a gift. It seems to have been started by members of the Unholy Disorder family who were interested in the "true meaning of gift giving".

There is another part of the festival as well. Some people will choose to leave gifts all over the city of Port Manteau for anyone to find. Sometimes they're completely anonymous, but sometimes the gift will have a link to a private chat that only the gift giver and gift receiver can have access to. Feel free to thank your gift giver in these private chat rooms! Maybe even take the chance to meet up?

◆ A PERMANENT AU PLOT REQUEST PAGE!!! IS IN THE WORKS!! One of my main concerns has been with new characters getting integrated with the current characters in game. How do they get CR with established people? Plot posts do eventually get lost in the

So I was thinking of allowing current characters to comment into a post, saying what they're open to and leave those AU options OTA. Do you run a cafe and would be ok to having people to have worked at your cafe? Are you a teacher that needs students? new characters can just always go to this page and pick and choose and comment what works best for them. I'm working on the details still, but once this is finalized, we'll reopen apps, yay!!

Hello, hello! Nothing too crazy to announce today, instead it's more of a "what kind of updates can we expect" sort of post this time around! So here is a list of what is coming up:

♦ Locations and freedom will be tomorrow (probably evening) and then you'll be free to post whenever you like!

♦ I have plans to run a game next weekend, but I can move it depending on people's energy, I'll put feelers for it, but it will be locked to families!

Also I had a couple of people ask, will this entire game take place on the boat forever? The answer is no, it'll likely shift along the way depending on the actions of the people. However, I know some people want to play out the backstories in the world proper which is honestly fair and understandable! I'm thinking once a month or two, we can have a post dedicated just to "past events prior to the boat" similar to dream posts, perhaps focusing around a specific theme like in-world holidays or festivals. And yes, it would count towards AC.

Hello, everyone, and welcome to the opening of Limelight Stage! What the heckies, IDK how we are here already, but I guess that's the power of time. I'm excited that you're all here to join me, and I thank literally everyone and their mother who has helped me with setting up stuff, giving me ideas, etc. I wanted to try and make a game that would be my own personal maximum indulgence catered specifically to my tastes, but I'm really glad that it seemed to intrigue a lot of other people as well so even if I made this game to my taste, I plan to run a game that will hopefully be something that everyone can find SOME enjoyment in!!

I will say I appreciate the patience that everyone has! I've never tried an AU game (or have done many AUs in general) so this is actually new territory for me, and you'll likely see me rearranging things, rewording things, changing things, etc. I'll try to remember to notate when I do update any of the pages so you'll likely see a LOT of changes in the coming weeks. Months. ~~Years~~. If you've been in one of my games, you shouldn't be surprised, ok, ok.

I know one thing that is causing some confusion is the overall themes/messages of this game. Is it plot heavy? Is it dark? Is it pvp? What is the whole point of any of this? I'll try to clarify a few things in some of the plot/setting posts for sure! But to give a basic rundown:

Everyone here has been given alternate memories once they arrived in this world. As they regain memories, there will be questions as to "why?" and "how?" when it comes to how they ended up this way. To answer these questions, you'll have to uncover some of the secrets of this world and that includes the secrets of the eight families. It isn't just your memories that have been forgotten. There will be many opportunities for that along the way

It's pretty vague because it's a game where part of the goal is to unlock the lore of the world! It's inspired a lot by stories like Mushishi, Honkai Starrail, Made in Abyss, Hunter x Hunter, etc. I'll do my best to help make things feel a little more concrete though, but I appreciate you all willing to work with my brain until then.

This is not a game that is built around the idea of pvp or pve, this is a game about unlocking and exploring the lore of the world and the lore within your own character. There will be pvp moments, there will be pve moments! It will have dark themes because identity and self can be dark, but also it is not meant to be a hopeless or stagnant game either (whether I can succeed on that is TBD but we'll see what happens!!). Also if you wonder if there will be physical and mental harm in events and games, the answer is yes.

Hopefully that gives off some of the vibes I'm aiming for! So let me get to some general announcements that I think are important!!

• Apps are now closed for the time being. This is to keep me sane in terms of getting everything situated and to let initial teams settle. I'll have to create a new intro for new characters that magically appear on a boat, you know!! You can swap characters if you would like. Also if a couple last minute apps appear, I'll probably let them in if it's within the first week so don't be surprised if someone gets a new teammate.

• Abilities and Powers: I'll work on this upcoming week, I APPRECIATE YOUR PATIENCE ON THAT.

• If you drop a character, I do not care if you still rp threads afterwards. There will be hiatus/drop options where a character can still be on the boat, just on a different floor. More on this later.

• Profile team templates are in announcements, I'll link them proper to the actual post this weekend. Thanks Cleo (she made them)!!!

• You'll see some of the teams get buffs (more flavortext) to their profile soon! I'll announce it when done!

• Quests and missions to be unlocked later! Stay tuned, there will be updates on that in the near future!

• Yes, we're still working on locations, I'm sorry forgive me.

• The first event is happening right now! The first team specific game will be on the weekend of August 22nd-August 24th, more on that later.
